Timeless Truth

He also performed the signs before the people, and they believed. And when they heard that the LORD
was concerned about them and had seen their misery, they bowed down and worshiped.
Exodus 4:30b-31 NIV

Thoughtful Wisdom

“One of the most convenient hieroglyphics of God is a circle; and a circle is endless; whom God loves, he loves to the end; and not for their own end, to their death, but to his end; and his end is that he might love them still.” – John Donne

“God’s love for poor sinners is very wonderful, but God’s patience with ill-natured saints is a deeper mystery.” – Henry Drummond

“If I were God and man made a mire of things: war, hatred murder, lust, cobwebs, infamy, entangling the heart and soul. I would sweep him to one side and start anew. (I think I would.) If I did this, would I be God?” – Anonymous

“Though the Lord be high, yet hath he respect unto the lowly.” – Psalm 138:6

“If God be my friend, I cannot be wretched.” – Ovid

Treasured Gifts

God’s promise of heaven–replacing old earth’s egomania with new earth’s kindness,

transforming old chaos into new calm, superimposing new Jerusalem on old crime-ridden cities,

making old heartaches obsolete by new songs, killing old death with new life, wiping away

old tears with new joy, erasing old pain with new bodies

Today’s Affirmation

Using the sixth sense God has given me to imagine invisible realities, I will humble my heart, bow my head and worship my Friend in the highest place.
